Essay on Hereditary disease?

In my biology cl, we watched the movie Lorenzo's Oil, so now we have to write an essay on the heriditary disease featured in the film. I believe it's called AIO. I'm not sure what the long name for it is. I really need some help.. all of the websites I've found have big scary medical words in them.
