My father-in-law needs cataract surgery bad but he has no money and can't get any help!?

I'm looking for some advice. My wife's dad is an extremely hard working brick mason. He has owned his own business now for over 30 years. Since the economy has done what it's done, he hasn't worked steadily in a few years. He is a great brick mason! He went to the doctor and the doctor said he has very bad cataracts in both of his eyes and if he didn't get them fixed soon, he could lose vision in both of his eyes. He doesn't have any money and doesn't have medicare or medicaid or anything, and no one wants to help. The cheapest cataract surgery we can find in Georgia is around $2000 per eye. We don't know what to do. I'm hoping someone on this board can help guide us to something. Thanks so much!
