Is he just being friendly or he likes me? please help?

first what you should do is talk to him because there could be many reasons behind his actions. first could be that he likes you because i don't know a reason why a guy would call you at 3 am. the second could be that he's feeling lonely because of his ex, and feels like you are there for him.
